Become a United States Citizen

The U.S. citizenship exam is not easy. One hundred questions on American history and government have to be studied, sentences have to be written, and English conversation skills are needed for the interview. Many of our courageous English learners have studied hard to learn their new country’s language and customs. To date, nearly 500 of our students are now U.S. Citizens. Dozens more are ready to take the test. Are you ready to join them? We offer a 12-week citizenship study class to help you prepare for the exam.

Citizenship Assistance Fund

The 2022 application fee for citizenship is $725.

Many of our students struggle to save up that much money. Some put off taking the exam for many months until they can afford the fee. We are proud to offer an ELL Citizenship Assistance Fund for our citizenship students.
Students who have saved money for the citizenship exam but do not have the full amount ($725) can apply for assistance by contacting us at 775-888-2021 or by email at [email protected].

Our profound thanks go to Stacey Sherman and Tim and Betsy Kosier of Carson City, Nevada, and Vicki Bailey of Santa Rosa, California. Together, they have donated a generous amount to establish this fund.
